DeFranco Insurance Agency was started in 1953 by Louis DeFranco. In 1986, his son, John joined the firm after graduating with a Business Degree from Western Washington University, and became President in the 1990's. Jim DeFranco, our Executive Vice President joined the agency in 2014. Jim previously was with a partner with Deloitte Touche working in their Seattle, New York, and San Francisco for 19 years, upon leaving there in 1993 Jim joined the Ferguson Construction as COO, and then became CFO with Intracorp Real Estate in 1995.
DeFranco Insurance also has two producers - Debbie Sylvester and Brent Staszak. Debbie has over thirty years in the insurance with expertise in small business - along with personal and other commercial lines. Brent joined our group in January bringing his many years of experience in Life, Long Term Care, and Disability, along with his personal and commercial background.
The support staff consists of three people - two licensed agents and one customer service support. Mary Ellen has over 26 years of insurance both in Commercial and Personal lines. Chris brings over eight years of insurance background along with previous experience in supporting manufacturing and distribution systems. Tracy joined us this past spring and has a background in escrow, and working with a variety of mortgage lenders.
